Hi Janice - As you've pointed out there really are a lot of enticing deals out there.

Since I'm an independent and unbiased Hawaii travel blogger, I'm watching the Hawaii travel dynamic changing significantly over the past three months. With the demise of Aloha Airlines and ATA Airlines, there is less Hawaii flight capacity. Couple less airline seats with a shaky US economy and you'll see a recipe for Hawaii tourism concerns.

Though this all sounds like gloom and doom, the good news is that Hawaii hotels are compensating for the higher airfares. They're offering free nights, resort credit, free breakfasts, discounts on luaus, etc. For example, one deal I recently blogged about was a Waikiki Beach hotel offering the third night free plus free breakfast plus 2 for 1 luau tickets. I'm seeing some of the top hotels that would normally go for well over $300 per night now going for less than $200. The deals are definitely available making it a great time to visit Hawaii.
