What’s so funny about airline fees? Everything!

by Christopher Elliott on August 26, 2008

The latest round of airline fees are nothing to laugh about. Or are they? Actually, they’re pretty funny, at least according to people in the parody business.

Lyricist Bruce Hopman recently shared this send-up of airline fees. Be sure to read the accompanying blog post for his notes.

Mad TV’s spoof on airline fees is already a classic.

Speaking of classics, no one can say we didn’t see this coming. Here’s a clip from the Carol Burnett show, just a few years post-deregulation.

Now that you mention deregulation, I haven’t seen flight attendants like this since 1969.

As airlines continue to torture their customers, I expect there’ll be more to laugh — and cry — about.

And who could ever forget SkyHigh Airlines, http://www.skyhighairlines.com/main.asp.

The “airline” started by Alaska Airlines.
