
Steve Wynn plans Thursday announcement at Encore Theater
The Encore Theater at the Wynn has remained largely empty since the death of Danny Gans. On Thursday, Steve Wynn plans to announce a new lineup.
Beyonce, Garth Brooks and Larry King have taken the stage at the Encore Theater but a permanent fixture has been a “work in progress,” Wynn said during his company’s July second quarter earnings call.
CityCenter dream ready to become reality
Since the first foundations were laid in 2006, MGM Mirage’s CityCenter has gone through several difficulties. However, in a few weeks, it will be ready to open its doors.
“Of all the openings we’ve seen, and we’ve seen a lot of openings in our town, none have as much significance and importance as CityCenter does,” says Alan Feldman, MGM-Mirage.
The opening will take place in several stages: On December 1, Vdara will open its doors to the public, followed by Crystals on December 3. The Mandarin Oriental will open December 4 and then the celebration will culminate with the opening of Aria on December 16.
Continental’s Kellner: Struggling airlines look to serve airports with low fees
Continental Airlines Chairman and CEO Larry Kellner said that although the economy is recovering, airlines is still “bouncing along the bottom” and airports need to be cognizant of that.
