Football, hockey and baseball arrive aboard Virgin America this fall

Virgin America is expanding its entertainment options aboard its flights this fall.

The live TV lineup is changing, and new updates include FOX and NBC affiliates—both based out of NYC—and that means access to some sports. Hockey fans can check out national televised games on NBC, and there will be plenty of baseball action this October available live on FOX—as well as in TBS, because they’ve got that channel too.

Jetsetter brings 360-degree photos, exclusive trip planning tools to app for iPhone and iPod touch

Jetsetter announced that its app has been updated to include new tools and features including a 360-degree view.

“Now travel inspiration and Jetsetter’s unique offers can fit into your pocket and be accessed anytime you feel like daydreaming about your next vacation,” said Drew Patterson, Jetsetter Founder and CEO. “The Jetsetter App is like an interactive travel magazine, providing editorial content with the Jetsetter point-of-view as well as the ability to tour our selections through Jetsetter’s revolutionary 360-degree tours. Unlike a traditional magazine, users can book the vacations that inspire them most at Jetsetter exclusive prices.”

What to do during a layover In Las Vegas

Yesterday we brought you the Nile Guide’s free things to do in Las Vegas. Today we bring you their guide to what to do during a long layover in Las Vegas.

Step One: Figure out if you should stay at McCarran or head to the Strip.

There you are with a layover in Vegas, and there the Strip is, enticingly close. There’s that big Luxor light, beckoning you. Before you head to the taxi line, do some math. Factor in waiting for taxis, security checks, and crowds along the Strip—then add in the serious distraction of a winning streak at the blackjack table. Make sure you’ve got plenty of time to leave the airport and make it back for your flight before you take that short taxi ride to Las Vegas Boulevard.
