[Senator Harry] Reid and [California Department of Transportation Director Will] Kempton used the announcement to promise high-speed rail between Southern California and Nevada was on a fast track.
Report: Boeing may buy 787 fuselage factory
Boeing is in talks with Vought Aircraft Industries to purchase its factory in South Carolina. They are hoping to “improve supplies of parts for its 787 Dreamliner.”
If Boeing bought the South Carolina factory, it would be able to set up a second assembly line for the 787 more quickly.
The company has some 850 orders for the plane to be filled over the next decade.
