European airline competition reaching the boiling point
With every airline competing for travelers’ business, things can get pretty nasty, especially in Europe.
EasyJet is furious that KLM cut a deal with Amsterdam airport to lower the airport passenger fees for transiting passengers.
The two airlines and the airport will be facing each other in court, but it is going to be a tough battle, EasyJet is a foreign carrier, and KLM is the Dutch national pride.
Lufthansa crew in traditional Bavarian dress
For the fourth year in a row, Lufthansa’s crew will be wearing traditional Bavarian costume to celeberate Oktoberfest.
During the Oktoberfest, “white and blue” – the traditional Bavarian colors – will also be the motto on all long-haul Lufthansa flights to and from Munich. Passengers traveling in First Class will be served a traditional Oktoberfest menu on trays covered with blue-and-white tray cloths. In addition, a selection of typical Bavarian delicacies will accompany the meal. Oktoberfest beer will also be on offer, served in small stoneware mugs. Bavarian specialities will also be served in Business and Economy Class. Meanwhile, on the audio channel, a special program will play Bavarian music to get passengers into the swing of the “fifth” season of the year.
