Harken back to the days when flying was a luxury and everyone dressed up. This video takes us back to 1958, the inaugural flight of the Pan Am Clipper 707 from New York’s Idlewild (JFK) Airport to London.

A British pair was arrested and sent home when they joked on Twitter that they would ‘destroy America.’

Leigh Van Bryan, 26, was handcuffed and kept under armed guard in a cell with Mexican drug dealers for 12 hours after landing in Los Angeles with pal Emily Bunting.

The Department of Homeland Security flagged him as a potential threat when he posted an excited tweet to his pals about his forthcoming trip to Hollywood which read: ‘Free this week, for quick gossip/prep before I go and destroy America?’

ANA pilot unions warn of 24-hr. strike Wednesday

ANA’s pilots unions are threatening a 24-hour strike but the airline is continuing negotiations.

ANA said that no international flights will be affected but domestic flights could be subject to cancellation and/or delay. The carrier said it will have cancel 68 flights and delay another 27.

    I say:Now these two know how we Americans feel when we travel. We all are considered armed and dangerous and cry for our country. 
    On the other hand, these two should grow up. It’s sad how irresponsible many of their generation appear to those of us who remember WWII, Korea, and Viet Nam. That they were so unaware of the impact of their words shows they might be a few pence short of a £. Or only too aware of the chance they were taking in flaunting the current security situation? One more bit of fun, maybe?
    As to their internet communications attracting the attention of the authorities, it’s a new world for all of us, and privacy in the US is a dead issue. All is bent to the will of the state apparatus. Get used to it. It will get worse, judging by the experience of history.

    i partly agree, the simple fact is that their words, while in the same language, have a different meaning in the uk

    the moron just said that he was going to party till the roof comes down

    it is a common mistake made by a lot of people (the dutch word for shower is douche go figure)
