Memphis Airport may close terminals
With airline traffic down, Memphis may be closing parts of terminal A.
Shutting down terminals has been done at other airports when they’ve lost hub status.
“We’ve always had airport development, it’s just going to become more focused in a different way towards the Memphis traveler,” said [new airport chief Scott] Brockman.
Airport leaders say this means they’ll need a much smaller airport.
Scoot Airlines introduces child-free zone
Scoot Airlines, the low cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, is offering travelers, for an extra $14, a chance to upgrade to its child-free cabin.
Children 12 and under are banned from the 41-seat cabin from rows 21 to 25, where, despite being at the back of the plane, features 35-inch seats, which is four inches more than those in economy class.

Delta Airlines flight attendants have started using Windows Phones
More than 19,000 flight attendants started using the new Windows Phone 8 to process on-board transactions.
“Delta’s 19,000 in-flight professionals are there for the safety and comfort of our customers, and equipping them with innovative solutions means they can better meet our customers’ needs on board every flight,” said Joanne Smith, senior vice president – In-Flight Service. “This is yet another way we’re investing in technology to improve the customer experience.”
