Mayors to Justice: Stop holding up AA-US Airways merger
Mayors from seven of the biggest cities sent a letter to Eric Holder to let the merger go through.
The mayors signing the letter represent Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Fort Worth, Miami-Dade, Philadelphia and Phoenix – all cities in metro areas home to hubs on either American or US Airways.
The mayors argue that since Justice allowed the United-Continental and Delta-Northwest mergers to go through, it would be unfair to now block the American-US Airways deal.
