There is quite a huge difference between Holiday Inns so I understand why IHG wants the crappier ones to improve. I stayed at a Holiday Inn in Louisville near Churchill Downs and even though their website stated that the property was “recently renovated”, the interior was worn and the rooms were extremely outdated. This was rather disappointing after staying at a Holiday Inn in Singapore that was a strong 4 star property.
