Europeans complain about U.S. travel fees

It seems that U.S. travelers aren’t the only ones complaining about fees. Europeans are complaining about U.S. fees too.

At issue is a planned $10 charge for Europeans coming to the United States. The European Parliament calls the charge unfair, saying it amounts to a new visa restriction.

Janet Napolitano, Homeland Security Secretary, calls the fee reasonable, since the United States doesn’t have an agency for travel and tourism, “unlike many of your countries,” she said of the European states.

5 American fast food items you can’t get in America

When you’re abroad and you see a familiar fast food name, you’d expect to see the same type of food you’d find in the states. However, that’s not always the case.

Fried chicken with a side order of spaghetti? Yes, please! McDonald’s Philippines puts two great tastes that taste great together into one handy-dandy combo. Who wouldn’t want to be asked, “Would you like spaghetti with that?”

Toronto to host 2015 Pan Am Games

Anyone planning on being in Toronto in 2015, should expect the city to be more crowded than usual. The city has won its bid to host the 2015 Pan Am Games.

“Our commitment, our pledge, our undertaking, our promise is to provide you with the best Pan Am Games ever,” [Ontario Premier Dalton] McGuinty told delegates after the results were announced. “It’s an exciting time for so many of us here.”

[Toronto Mayor David] Miller also took the podium to express his gratitude for the first-ballot win.

The Europeans are complaining about the US charging them fees?

What about the $423.70+ in taxes that my company has to pay for my next trip to London?

The airfare itself is only $464.00.

Now THAT is something to complain about especially when my wife and a group of her friends avoided a trip to London for that very reason.

Who is to blame when the tourists stop coming?
