Alaska Airlines begins new San Diego-Kauai service

Alaska Airlines started service between San Diego and Lihue Airport on Kauai.

The service will operate daily through August 26, after which it will be offered four times a week.

China’s first Boeing 787 makes debut flight

A Boeing 787 Dreamliner operated by China Southern started service last Friday.

The 228-seat aircraft, operated by China Southern Airlines, departed Baiyun International Airport in the south China city of Guangzhou at 12:35 p.m. It touched down at Beijing Capital International Airport at 2:56 p.m.
