Airport towers get temporary reprieve
Shortly after announcing that 168 control tower facilities will be closed, the FAA gave them a reprieve, saying that the comments were “unauthorized.”
On Friday, the FAA arranged a second conference call, retracting without explanation the earlier call, according to Spencer Dickerson, head of the U.S. Control Tower Association.

An Asian gaming group is planning to build an Asian-themed resort where the Stardust once stood.
Genting Group plans to build the 3,500-room Chinese-themed resort with a 175,000-square-foot casino. The company calls it the “first phase” of a property to be named Resort World Las Vegas.
