A container holding the deadly poison ricin was found at an Extended Stay America hotel in Las Vegas, police said. One man remained in a coma and in critical condition Friday and six others were hospitalized after exposure to the poison. According to CNN, a man said he found it while retrieving items from a hotel room and brought a bag with a small container to the manager’s office. Police confirmed that the mysterious substance in the container was “100 percent ricin.” They do not know who the ricin belongs to at the time of the report. The discovery of ricin alarms law-enforcement agencies, said CNN, because authorities in several countries have investigated links between suspect extremists and ricin. However, the FBI said on Friday there doesn’t appear to be any link to terrorists.
