There are several websites where you can review and share your experience with airlines:
SkyTrax: http://www.airlinequality.com
Airlikes: http://www.airlikes.com/
This can help travelers to choose the best airline to fly with.

Perhaps just luck with my nearest-to-home hub airline, but Continental has done right by me for the most part. With a few exceptions, they have been friendly and have given me good service. They still feed the people in the back and, when I was stuck on the tarmac for several hours, we got snacks and drinks served with humor and bathroom accesss. There are surly people in every profession and things happen. Mostly, I've been a spectator watching disrespectful customers. Perhaps my time is due, but so far, so good. (With hotels, too.)

Last year, when the price of fuel was over $4.00 per gallon, the airlines added fees for luggage. Now that the fuel costs have dropped, the baggage fees are still in place.

Last week, it was announced that the major airlines will tack on more fees for peak time travel.

It is time for the airlines to stop treating the passengers like cash cows. Drop the luggage fees, and reinstate mealservice for the mail cabin.

The “favourite” airline survey assumes that there is a favourite one to “like”. Being the best of an all-bad industry is nothing to crow about or reward with a slanted survey. I fly United not because it is my favourite, but because my company used them the most and that’s the airline most of my FF miles are on. Am I happy with their service? No! But they are the least bad of the airlines. I can’t think of one US airline that I would call good.

One thought, favorite airline doesn't necessarily mean most used..

For example, I actually prefer United or Continental, but with PHL as my base of operations, I tend to fly USAir more often because of the larger schedule offerings and more direct flights...

Seems your list of airlines isn't a complete list. My favorite airline, Virgin America, isn't listed an a option, so I guess I'll have to put in a write-in vote here for it.
