This past weekend, Washington, DC, celebrated their Cherry Blossom Festival with parades, fairs and just plain old family fun. This is a big time for the District. Many vendors say this is the biggest festival of the year, after inaugurations, which only come every four years.
Here are some images from a windy Friday before the festivities. The blossoms are still beautiful and the crowds have waned. This is a perfect time to visit our nation’s capital.

I used to live in the DC area and absolutely loved sitting underneath the Cherry Blossoms. One of the things I miss the most about DC. Gorgeous photos- thanks for sharing!
