What to make of these numbers? Despite the airlines cutting back on flights, they are unable to fill planes except at peak flying times. Leisure travellers who can be flexible can make out like a bandit. Personally, I think that hotel prices will continue to decline,especially in the upper end. However certain cities - Chicago and Seattle come to mind - still remain pricey in the center city. Best deal that I have booked this year:
