Think about it. Arrive at least 90 minutes before flight time because of skis, boots and poles, which cost extra these days. Leave house 1 hour before flight because of LA traffic. Spend 1 hour driving up the mountain. Flight time - 1 hour. Total travel time 4.5 hours assuming no delays. Total drive time from LAX? 5.5 hours.
