Hertz is planning to take a bite out of Enterprise Rent-A-Car by expanding its reach beyond the airport. Mark Frissora, CEO of Hertz Global Holdings, told the Newark Star-Ledger that the move is part of the company’s growth strategy as rising fuel prices have cut into its airport business. “We believe continued reduction in airline capacity in response to fuel prices, combined with a moderation in business travel and leisure travel, will adversely impact earnings,” UBS analyst William Truelove said in a recent report on Hertz.
