… no. At least not for travelers.
We may have a shiny new president, but we still have the same old problems: a crumbling transportation infrastructure, high fuel prices, a weak dollar and a embarrassingly bad mass transit systems.
Earlier this week, I pointed out that both of the major party candidates had taken our votes for granted.
In a follow-up post, I suggested that the winner of the presidential sweepstakes doesn’t matter, at least as far as travelers are concerned.
Truth is, if you want change — real change — then this is the time to speak up. Contact your newly-elected representative now.
Here’s how to find your new Congressional representative and Senator.
Let them know that the change you voted for must also take place in the skies and on the roadways of this country.
Remember, these are your representatives (if you’re a U.S. citizen) and you are entitled to contact them as much as any inside-the-beltway lobbyist.
Yesterday’s election may have been historic, but the real change will be up to all of us.
