Forbes: America’s top tourist attractions

Forbes released their Top 10 most visited tourist attractions in the U.S.A. Times Square in New York City leads the list. The Forbes definition: sites of historical or cultural interest; natural phenomena and landmarks; and officially designated entertainment and recreation centers.

Here is the Forbes Top 10 most visited tourist attractions in the U.S.A.

1. Times Square, New York, N.Y., 37.6 million visitors
2. Las Vegas Strip Las Vegas, Nev. 29.1 million visitors
3. National Mall and Memorial Parks Washington, D.C. 25 million visitors
4. Faneuil Hall Marketplace Boston, Mass. 19 million visitors
5. Magic Kingdom Walt Disney World, Orlando, Fla. 17.1 million visitors
6. Golden Gate National Recreation Area San Francisco Bay Area, Calif. 17 million visitors
7. Disneyland Resort Anaheim, Calif. 14.7 million visitors
8. Fisherman’s Wharf San Francisco, Calif. 10 million (tie)
8. Hollywood Walk of Fame Los Angeles, Calif. 10 million visitors (tie)
10. Great Smoky Mountains National Park North Carolina and Tennessee 9.5 million visitors

All great places to be sure, but what about Bruce Lee’s grave? Any child that grew up during his era knows what I’m talking about when I say he was the idol.

If those are the Top 10 most visited tourist attractions in the U.S.A, we’re in trouble!

The ONLY touirst attractions on this list that can account for the number of visitors is #5 Magic Kingdom, #7 Disneyland Resort.
So where do the rest of the numbers come from???
