With dedicated aircraft on those shuttle flights, day in and day out, short haul. They can now cycle in mainline MD-80's on these routes. One disadvantage of this is that your aircraft may come from another part of the country. Hence, a delayed flight due to late inbound. But, it's less cycles of the aircraft.

Delta is matching US Airways?????

Where witl Delta get the dirty planes from?

Where will Delta aquire the planes with broken seats and yards upon yards of Duct tape?

Will Delta go fee crazy too?

Is Delta switching to the US's antiquated Reservation system known as SHARES too?

In order for Delta to "Match" US Airways they would have to dumb down their entire operation..

Is Delta going to also strive to equal US Airways dismal permormance in the DOT stats regarding Cosumer Complaints?

Delta has much to accomplish to "Match" US Airways and none of it good.

I wish DL well in it's new endeavor.
