		<description>Dangerous?  Hell, it&#039;s banned by most railroads -- and as of October 2, it&#039;s illegal (per the Federal Railroad Administration).  

Of course, now it&#039;s up to the railroads and the regulators to enforce the ban.

		<description>Just makes common sense - the engineer of a train needs to focus of what is going on with the train and not a cell phone.  This would be a primary cause of the accident.

I was trained as a passenger train locomotive engineer and there are also other things, technologically, administratively and procedurally that could have prevented this accident.  Metrolink needs to look long and hard to ensure the safety and relibility of their passengers and their service.  I&#039;m sure the NTSB report will focus extensively on these secondary items.</description>
