My frustration with air travel is having everything cut to the bones. It's fine when the weather is good, the plane is fully operational and the crew is rested and on time.

It goes to heck when any of those is not true. A plane breaks down and you might be looking at a multiple hour delay to find a seat on another plane. The gate agents have so much to do that they can't possibly be expected to help 100 people who need to be rebooked.

When a crew arrives late the night before, you might be delayed an hour or more so they can legally work your flight. Or, worse, you might be canceled because the crew has reached the legal end of its work day. Then you get to stay overnight.

I, for one, am definitely more frustrated with air travel than I've ever been. Largely due to so many flights being cut, and thus, fewer schedule options being available when I need and want to book them.
