Note: the government defines a flight as “delayed” if it arrives 15 or more minutes later than it’s schedule, which is extremely generous. These numbers are from the first quarter of 2008. The full list is here.

Something doesn’t sound right. Southwest does not fly to/from Newark, NJ or Burlington, VT.

You’re right. I reread the chart — am I missing something?

  • Paula Berg – Southwest Airlines

No…you’re both right…Southwest does not fly to Newark or Bulington! Ha…I thought I was missing something as well! We are contacting the Bureau of Transportation now. The BTS website has a couple more flights listed for us that we do not operate.

Flight 1223 appears to belong to Continental. Flight 2565 looks as if it is operated by Expressjet. What’s going on over at DOT? Come on, fellas.

Hmmm, I think I understand why Southwest is so late on those routes!

Doesn’t the government just fill you with confidence? I don’t really think it’s very cool to allege poor service when it’s not a service the airline even offers. Seems rather libelous to me.
