In recent years, more and more cruise lines have come up with alternatives. These can range from casual options like pizza and pasta, to alternate dining rooms — some included in the cruise fare, others with a supplement — to some variation of “Anytime” dining.

While airlines lead the travel world in new fees, hotels and cruise lines are right behind them. Clearly the companies feel that these additional charges are good for their bottom lines. For customers, it is another story.
