Passengers on board a Thomas Cook flight from Menorca, Spain to Glasgow, Scotland faced at least an eight-hour delay while the airline flew a mechanic in from the UK to fix a problem with the plane until a passenger volunteered his services to fix it.

Last week we reported that easyJet is introducing in-flight weddings. Air New Zealand thinks that it might have something there. The carrier has announced that it will be offering the world’s first matchmaking flight.
