This has nothing to do with travel of course, but I just ran into this jpeg of the 1 page speech, that then 5 star general, Dwight David Eisenhower, supreme commander of the Allied forces in Europe, broadcast to the DDay invasion force just before their assault landing took them on to the shores of France at Normandy. I thought this historical document extremely interesting
