Do any of you flight gurus know how to navigate the lost luggage system at O'Hare? My boss lost her luggage between here and Wisconsin, and we're pretty sure it went AWOL in Chicago, but they don't seem interested in even attempting to look for it.

If your boss left the airport before filing a Lost Luggage report with the airline, they need to call the airline's reservation number and do that over the phone. Bags in route stay on the ramp and are loaded on the next available flight to your destination or it could have been miss-routed to a different airport. Bags misrouted are sent to baggage service and redirected to the correct city. Your Lost Luggage report will be updated then on what flight it will be arriving on. The passenger needs to give their local address so the bag can be delivered upon arrival. At this time, they just need to be patient. (I use to work in baggage service with a major airline).

She's already filled out all the airline rigamarole. She and her travel agent are not able to get staff at O'Hare to respond to whatever they sent. I was hoping maybe someone knew how to "grease the wheels" (so to speak) in Chicago. If all else fails, I'll put her in touch with Chris Elliott, but it's still early in the game.
