Nope, none of those make me want to try them, but then, I was always liked Hydrox over Oreos.

Oh, I KNOW, I KNOW! (Jumping up and down with his hand raised.....
)The company was bought out by a bigger bakery and revived using the original recipes. Bad news, our local facility (in Grand Rapids) was mothballed. Good news, they reopened the other bakery (there were only two) in Indiana. Archway cookies have reappeared on my local supermarket shelves. Not everyone will carry them because they have a short shelf life so you normally can only find them in larger high traffic markets. Sadly, they have yet to bring back my favorite Archway cookie, the dark molasses sugared round cookies. I've only seen the lighter "old fashioned" molasses cookie in my stores. Oh well, probably helps me keep about 10 pounds off my frame. My favorite thing to do with a dark molasses Archway cookie was to put a slab of vanilla ice cream between two of them and toss them in the freezer for about a half hour (if you can wait that long) and then devour. It's the BEST ice cream sandwich treat ever. |

I might have to make one of Deano's Archway ice cream sandwiches! My very favorite cookie these days is a Jackson lemon cookie - best on a summer day with a cold glass of milk. ![]()

It's that time of the year again - the Girl Scout cookies are out! I was bombarded at the grocery store the other day. I was a Girl Scout myself for so many years, so I just can't resist them. Thin mints and the samoas. Oh, they are the best.

My son just brought home some Edy's ice cream last night.
It's a limited edition flavor - Girl Scout's Samoas. |
