That is a horrible story.

I can't work up much sympathy for the teen with a gun replica on her handbag - who would want such a thing anyway - but if they offered to let her check it and make her flight, why didn't she do that? I personally think the handbag was in awful taste, but TSA isn't the arbiter of good taste.

In the case of Lenore Zimmerman - the TSA is denying the strip search took place. I'll hold off on judgement for a few days.
