Congratulations to the Pittsburgh Penguins for making to the 2008 Stanley Cup Finals.
The Pens beat the Flyers today 6-0 to take the series 4-1. Let's go Pens in the finals! I also congratulate the Flyers for making it to the 2008 Stanley Cup Eastern Conference Finals. Last year the Flyers had the worst record in hockey. If General Manager Paul Holmgren, who took over the Flyers in midseason last year, and made some of the most astute trades and signings ever seen in the space of a few months, isn't crowned executive of the year, he will have been robbed. |

...and Michel Therrien should be Coach of the Year (but won't, because he didn't make the short list of the three finalists). He has done a remarkable job of getting young, offensive-minded players to buy into playing a two-way game.
