You see it in the magazines, in email, on TV, on the radio, on websites. Everyone is offering their "Top Ten" gift list for kids, teens, golfers, campers, photographers, etc.

So, as a globetrotter, or perhaps a more modest traveler, what travel gift would you like to receive during this holiday season? My wife asked me this very question yesterday, and I had no answer. Help me out. Help me make my list.

Van Morrison concert tickets, anywhere in Ireland. (I'll take care of the rest of the arrangements!)

I'm with you on that John. I'm not a big person at all, but on a recent Alaska Airline flight my knees were virtually touching the seat in front of me and it was in its upright position.

More tolerence in the world, less finger pointing when something goes wrong, taking responsibility for yourself, and a nice vacation paid for by someone else! Oh, and a new car!

I like your list John225. I would also add a jump-start to my business which has been dead since June. Heck with Wilma and Emily, I lost half of what I had spent the 1st 6 months booking.
I would also say rapid rebuilding of New Orleans and Cancun.

Joyce, why don't we join forces? :D Business here in south Louisiana has kinda bottomed out also. Hopefully when I get my website up and running, it will be a bit better!

I wanna see Van Morrison, too! I LOVE LOVE LOVE that man!

*A new large suitcase since NW wrecked mine
*Ability to pack just right without taking my whole closet
*Magic 1st Class upgrade card
*Grow 10 inches.

I'm with Mary. I SO need to learn not to pack everything I own! It's tough - especially with a severe shoe addiction.

* A carry-on that will hold everything I want to take on the plane and still fit under the seat in front of me

* An American Airlines gift card

* A body like Heidi Klum

"All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth..." :D

No, seriously. I'm with John. More tolerance in the world and people always use their turn signals :).

Oh, what I wouldn't give for a little note to be added to my profile that pops up when I check in for flights to "always upgrade this woman and her travelling companion".

Now THAT would be a wonderful present!

mtp51 - I, too, have a serious shoe addiction. It's horrible..sob! :)

Jeanie - if I could grow 10 inches I'd be happy with the body I have. However, since Santa can't really do that kind of miracle, I TOO would love Heidi Klum's body!

OH and world peace!

Are you and Mary going to fight it out for that position, or are you both going to share godmothership?

Ned, I think there's room enough on that big ol' ship for us to share!

Otherwise, I'm short but wiry.

Do you think they would accept a godfather too? I mean they really shouldn't be sexist about this ship godparenting thing. I'm not particular tall either and if you look anything like your photo, wow!
