Oh man, I thought it might be better today, but this is a short series! And I think I have a bead on tickets for the LCS if they make it that far!

I do not think this classifies as a choke. Rockies are the hottest team in baseball right now.

The Mets missing the playoffs, that is choking.

Jim---good point!

Just as the Yankees were perfectly content with the wild card---no reason to play the hot Angels...might as well let Boston have a go at them first!

As a Boston fan, I am choking now with the bases loaded with Yankees. Good grief.

I agree, it's not a choke, but the Phil's have their backs against the wall again.

The Rockies were 51-31 at home this season, tops of the NL playoff teams. The Phillies were 42-39 on the road this season, tops of the NL playoff teams.

With Colorado's thin air, anything is possible. You only have to win two to get back to Philly for a game 5, where anything is possible.

Having been at Today's game.. Its not for lack of effort, believe me. No matter what happens, I will not call this a choke. To even MAKE the playoffs, when 18 of your starting 25 spend at least 3 weeks on the DL, including FOUR of the starting pitchers you began with, is a bloomin miracle.

This is definately NOT a choke. We are happy to be here in the playoffs and the past 2 games I think Colorado just took the bull by the horns and went after what they wanted. I still haven't lost hope. I have my Phillies Rally Towel and believe me....It's still waving.

If Philadelphia loses this series, they have nothing to be ashamed of. They made history(of their own) by the way they caught and passed the Mets, especially with the injuries they had. Though, all of this was overshadowed by the miracle that is the Rockies.
Momentum is everything entering the playoffs, and Colorado has momentum, cubed. They have been in playoff mode for a bit longer than Philly was and sometimes that makes all the difference. I think Philly will not let themselves get swept in Denver, but no final result to this series beyond that (other than another bad umpire call at the plate...must be that thin air in Denver) will suprise me much.

I am bragging....I hope they win both games in Colorado. I have seats 4 rows from the field over the 1st dugout for Tuesday's game! My son will be psyched!
