Misleading headline. Where's the "heave-ho"? Sick passengers? One sentence in the second para does not make a story!

What happened to them? Did they return to port 9 days early? Did the cruise line transfer them to hotels? At whose expense? What about the next sailing of the ship? A million questions!

One thing that I do on cruise ships is to avoid using the public restrooms as much as possible. If I have to use one, I do not turn the water off as soon as I finish washing my hands -- think about it -- you (and everyone else who has used that restroom) have turned the water ON with unwashed hands -- instead, I dry my hands, then, use the paper towels as a "barrier" between my hand and the faucet handle. Then, I use the paper towels to open the door, because, guess what -- everyone who used the restroom and did not wash their hands touched that handle. In an infection control class I took, they talked about how many people re-contaminate their washed hands in public restrooms from those 2 surfaces, and it makes sense.
