And like Vegas, its a lot of fun for 2-3 days...but not for a week. Agree that a cruise is great way to see Dubai for a few days and then sail to some nice locations. You know the saying "When in Rome". I was there just three days and I found the place fascinating, but I wouldn't want to spend too much time there - if you know what I mean. That's why think a cruise there is perfect for those that would like a 'taste of Dubai' without all the other issues. As far as I know, there have been zero incidents with cruise travelers to the emirate. All issues have been with tourists staying in the resorts along the beaches.
