Customer service numbers for the hospitality industry have been up across the board for a while now. If anyone is interested, I posted an analysis of industry numbers here:

http://www.uberoom.com/blogs/2009/10/15/improved-hotel-customer-service-top-3-reasons-why/

If your hotel wasn't responsive to your complaints and you've exhausted your resources with the hotel directly, you can always go to youtube, twitter, or facebook with them. Information gets passed around quicker than ever today and if hotels aren't giving you what you paid for, they are much less likely to survive.
