I like to eat. so when I went to Madrid for study abroad. Those Menu del Dias really helped and were a true reflection of what the Spanish ate. Bar food is good too. ATM method worked and use the METRO! It's the best!

My husband and I feel that home and car exchange is the way to go. We go to Europe every year to a different location. Our airfare is the biggest expense, but that can be paid off in advance of our trip. Everything else is totally under your control when you are in a private home. We eat in much more in the last few years than we used to do, but shopping in local markets for fresh goods and taking them home to cook is part of the fun of the cultural experience.

I'm a big fan of using biddingfortravel.com to better optimize my bid on Priceline for a hotel. I'm a cheapskate, what can I say?
